In 2018, in the middle of peak conflict within Yemen, Qima Foundation was established as a sister not-for-profit organisation of Qima Coffee. Qima’s Coffee arm is a renowned equitable coffee sourcing social enterprise, driven by the vision of using coffee as a means to uplift vulnerable smallholder coffee farmers and create sustainable livelihoods.

Qima Coffee's success in delivering social impact and promoting equitable trade in just two years inspired Faris Sheibani, founder of Qima Coffee, to propagate the ripple towards the development of the coffee farming community in Yemen. Qima Foundation’s sole focus rests on non-profit development projects that empower rural coffee-growing communities.

The Foundation’s earliest forays began with small-scale irrigation projects, addressing water scarcity in remote Yemeni farming areas. During the journey, we partnered with prestigious global foundations, development agencies, and private sector allies, who enabled us to undertake  large-scale, impactful national projects.

In our present avatar, as a global project operator,, we aim to expand beyond Yemen, and tailor bespoke development programmes for the development of coffee and agricultural value chains worldwide. With your support, and the support of our partners and stakeholders, we aspire to create lasting positive change, cultivate growth through innovation, and build brighter futures for coffee farmers and communities around the globe.
